Woman allegedly tries to smuggle pills into prison

ANDERSON — A woman allegedly attempted to traffic more than 80 prescription pills into the Pendleton Correctional Industrial Facility on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a media release from the facility, 27-year-old Ann Woodall, of Jamestown, Ind., was caught by facility officers attempting to smuggle 86 pills into the Level 2 security prison at about 2 p.m. Tuesday. Tim Horan, a spokesman for the facility, said he was not certain what type of pills Woodall had.
She has been charged with felony trafficking with an inmate and felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set for $40,000.
The prisoner she was visiting, Travis Sipes, has been segregated and is facing disciplinary charges, the release said.
Information about Sipes’s original offenses was not available at the time of publication.
