POST-TRIBUNE STAFF REPORT An Indiana State Prison correctional officer was arrested this week for attempting to smuggle tobacco and marijuana to an offender. Officer Barbara Roseborough was arrested Monday after staff members discovered a hidden package hidden in a brown bag during a search before entering the facility for her shift, prison officials said in a news release Wednesday.
Roseborough, who has been working at the prison since December 2001, was interviewed by Internal Affairs officers, who discovered that she was hiding another package.
Roseborough was taken to LaPorte County Jail and charged with a felony for possession of marijuana and a felony for trafficking with an offender.
