Please join me in congratulating Superintendent Julie Stout and Director Brett Mize as they assume new stretch assignments within the Agency.
Effective 14 December 2009, Superintendent Julie Stout, will commence a three-month stretch assignment as Interim Executive Director of Adult Operations. The Superintendent of Rockville Correctional Facility; Julie has amassed over 20 years in the corrections arena and is a Certified Corrections Executive. Serving in many positions throughout her career; including Assistant Superintendent, Executive Director Stout ‘s knowledge and determination will bode her and the Agency well as she assumes her temporary duties. Julie will report to Interim Deputy Commissioner Stanley Knight. Please welcome and support Julie in this demanding role of increased responsibility.
Effective 14 December 2009, Interim Executive Director of Adult Operations Brett Mize will conclude his three-month stretch assignment and commence new duties as the Director of Mental Health and Special Populations. Brett’s expertise in the management of offender populations; such as Diabetic, Long Term Segregation, and Mental Health Units will greatly assist both Adult and Juvenile Operations in creating protocols and solutions for success. Director Mize’s specific areas of oversight will be announced in separate correspondence. Brett will report to the Chief of Staff. Please welcome and support Mr. Mize in his new endeavors.
