NEW Commissioner’s Blog Guidelines and How-to
• From ANY computer, visit www.doc-apps.in.gov/doc_blog.
• The first time you visit, you will be asked to register underneath where it says “Please Login to the Commissioner’s Blog.”
• To register:
o Create a username - if you wish to have your comments remain anonymous, choose a username not attributed to your name.
o Enter your e-mail address - use your IDOC e-mail if you have one; if you don’t have an IDOC e-mail address, use your personal e-mail address.
o Enter your first and last name and your job description.
o Create a password.
o Click register!
• After registering, a blog administrator will review your information and give you access to view the blog - you must be a DOC employee to register.
• Once registered, return to the blog’s link and login!
• After you log in, you will see the Commissioner’s recent posts and updates.
• On the right side of the blog’s page, the Commissioner’s Twitter updates are available as well! (Those can also be seen at twitter.com/IDOC_Comm_Buss).
• After you have finished reading the posts, you can leave a comment/response to the Commissioner by simply typing in the comment box located below the post.
• Once you have completed your entry, click the submit button.
• Your entry will then be sent to an administrator for approval before posting to the blog.
• The Commissioner’s Blog policy, located through a link at the top of the blog’s page, has details on what would lead to a comment/response not being approved.
• Check back for responses to your comments as well as for updates and new posts from Commissioner Buss.
