Ex-Prison Guard Accused Of Sex With Inmate
PORTLAND, Ore. — Oregon State Police detectives arrested a former Coffee Creek Correctional Facility officer at his Portland home on two charges related to unlawful sexual contact with a female inmate.
They said 29-year-old Darcy Aaron MacKnight was arrested Tuesday morning on a Washington County warrant charging him with custodial sexual misconduct and official misconduct.
MacKnight was a corrections officer at the facility in Wilsonville from August 2006 until he resigned in January 2008.
In December 2008, state police detectives began investigating allegations he had unlawful sexual contact with a female inmate in a control room at the facility
MacKnight was taken into custody at 8 a.m. Tuesday at his southeast Portland home. He was taken to the Multnomah County Jail, pending transfer to the Washington County Jail.
