For Immediate Release Media Advisory Plainfield, Indiana (April 29, 2009) – The Plainfield Correctional Facility (PCF) received high marks while being audited by representatives from the American Correctional Association (ACA) last week. In a review of standards the ACA determines to be mandatory, PCF scored 100% as all areas were found to be on good order. In a review of the non-mandatory standards, PCF received a score of 98%, well above the minimum requirement to be recommended for reaccreditation by the ACA. James Curington, Chairman of the ACA audit team, was extremely complementary of the staff and operation of the Plainfield Correctional Facility. “When I first met with Superintendent Knight, she told me that the thing she was most proud of when it came to her facility was the staff. After being here these last three days, I can truly see why,” said Mr. Curington during an address to staff at an assembly. Department of Correction Commissioner Edwin G. Buss was in attendance and also shared his appreciation for the dedication and professionalism exhibited by the staff at the Plainfield Correctional Facility.
