Former jail guard gets probation for trusty tryst
ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. — A former jail guard is on probation after pleading guilty to five counts of sexual contact with a prisoner.
Twenty-five-year-old Dawn Marie Heading entered the plea Monday. She was sentenced to 18 months of probation.
The Kingsport Times News reports the relationship between Heading and trusty Phillip Greenwell became known after she informed her jail supervisor she was pregnant and requested a light duty assignment.
Greenwell was transferred to state custody and lost good time credits earned for his work as a trusty at the Carter County Jail.
