Jail employees fired following internal investigation KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho. - An undisclosed number of Kootenai County Jail Bureau personnel have been either fired or received disciplinary action after a criminal investigation following a report of missing inmate medication. The investigation began after the county Sheriff’s Office learned of allegations of missing inmate medication. Along with the Sheriff’s Internal Investigation, the Idaho State Police were asked to conduct a criminal investigation. “Policies and procedures only work when those involved exercise common sense and ethical behavior,” said Sheriff Rocky Watson, “A lack of integrity and a lack of following the ideals as set forth in the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics will not be tolerated in our Department. www.khq.com/global/story.asp?s=10138986
