Meth dealer sent to prison for life An Indianapolis man described by federal authorities as a "methamphetamine kingpin" was sentenced Thursday to prison for the rest of his life. U.S. District Judge Larry J. McKinney sentenced Ivan Rea, 34, to life in prison without parole for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and engaging in a continuing criminal enterprise, according to U.S. Attorney Timothy Morrison's office.
Rea, who is also known as Oscar Camacho-Diaz and Michoacan, directed a methamphetamine trafficking organization that operated in cities and towns along I-70 from Indianapolis to Terre Haute from August 2005 through February 2007, authorities say. During the 15-month investigation, authorities say, Rea's organization distributed more than 3,000 pounds of methamphetamine through a network of drug runners and dealers.
